The all-inclusive party experience, Misty Ridge left the parting public completely keyed up for the exciting stretch of events known as Carnival Week.
Formerly held in Santa Cruz, the fete moved this year to a classy, transformed Trinidad Country Club and served up a unique brand of entertainment for an audience which consisted of visitors from all over the globe as well as a diverse cross-section of local fete-a-holics.
Cultural sponsors Bmobile added to the glitz and glamour of this upscale event by providing all attendees with green glowing pendants which creatively impacted the visual aesthetics of the venue.
In addition to sponsorship for the event the mobile network also illumined the country club with its neon-green lit booth which featured the Samsung Galaxy Tab device for the benefit of the patrons viewing and use. Feters frequented this Bmobile booth throughout the entire night while making their rounds from the dance floor to the numerous strategically placed bars and lavish dining area.
Misty Ridge practically catered to all desires and with respect to food they surely delivered with a wide array of local and international gourmet treats.
In addition to the usual fete delicacies e.g. bake and shark, doubles and corn soup, other dishes of Jamaican jerk chicken and festivals, crab and dumpling, barbecued chicken and curried meats were available, as well as many varied preparations of shrimp.
Several notable individuals attended this famed Friday night fiesta such as advertising executive Charmaine Cedeno and Hotel Normandie Director Donna Chin Lee.
A Trinidadian man based in Florida, described Misty Ridge as the perfect forum to mix and mingle with a fun but well behaved crowd and a great place to “build a vibe” for the upcoming week of events. One patron hailing from Toronto added that she journeys to T&T every year at this time in order to attend this fete and learn the new Soca songs that she would be jumping to on the road.
Although this particular fete did not feature any brass bands, partiers were treated to the country’s top DJs and live performances by hit maker Kerwin Dubois, Soca crooner Kees Dieffenthaller and Bajan Soca Star Lil Rick who rocked the crowd with his monster songs “Go Dung” and “Work”.
