bmobile illuminates Divali Nagar on final night of 2018 celebrations
bmobile’s ‘Illumi-Nation’ booth swarmed with activity on the final night of Divali Nagar celebrations as thousands of visitors took advantage of their limitless upgrades, giveaways and games which were hosted by a star-studded cast of local celebrities.
The telecommunication leaders climaxed their presence at the religious site by once again providing those who were unable to brace the traffic and mammoth crowds, with an inside view of the booth’s happenings via their Facebook Page live-stream. Presenters Sham G. Ali, Sally Sagram and Ancil ‘Blaze’ Isaac were also joined by a surprise guest, famed international cricketer and bmobile Brand Ambassador, Dwayne Bravo.
While the booth bustled with activity, TSTT’s Executive Vice President Legal and Corporate Secretary, Gayle Allick Solomon, brought greetings during the National Council for Indian Culture’s (NCIC) official programme. Drawing reference to the Nagar’s 2018 theme ‘Hindu Reformers’, Allick Solomon paid a special tribute to the religion’s foundation reformers and admitted that TSTT is also currently undertaking a major developmental transition.
“Like the NCIC, and all of the reformers celebrated over the course of this year’s Nagar, bmobile has embarked on its own transformation so that it can fulfil its vision to be a standard bearer in Trinidad and Tobago for leading edge communications solutions and services that will enrich the lives of citizens, businesses and visitors. Our investments in technology and infrastructure are refocussed on a people-centred approach to enhancing the telecommunications experience of every national, making people’s lives better,” explained Allick Solomon.
While scores of visitors capitalised on upgrading their smartphones to bmobile’s lightning fast 4G LTE Network, patrons were also privy to Virtual Reality Car Racing, ‘Spin the Wheel’ for prizes, mehendi designs and a unique opportunity to take a ‘selfie’ with DJ Bravo himself.
The victorious 2018 Trinidad and Tobago Knight Riders captain also presented brave participants of his dance-off competition with personalised bats. Bravo has been a long-standing bmobile Brand Ambassador and also used this platform at the Nagar to exclusively preview his new song ‘Done D War’, which focuses on removing violence from all aspects of life.
“It’s always a pleasure to be back here at the Divali Nagar with bmobile and all these beautiful people,” said talented cricketer. “Like bmobile, I love to connect with people through all walks of life and opportunities such as these, are perfect to mingle with my fans. bmobile has again put on a spectacular showcase here and the people are really enjoying themselves at the ‘Illumi-Nation’ booth. There’s so much energy here.”
Additionally, the Indian High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago, H.E. Bishwadip Dey, also checked in with Bravo and his team at bmobile’s location to share a word of appreciation.
Back at the booth, one lucky winner – Wendy – of a signed bat courtesy Dwayne Bravo relayed her experience on the atmosphere at the venue while showcasing the ‘Champion’ dance.
“To meet Dwayne was a dream come through,” she said. “While I was leaving home, I had no idea how my night would have turned out. I’m grateful that I was able to meet and greet one of my favourite cricketers thanks to bmobile. I also signed up for a LTE package and am really excited to begin using this service from TSTT.”
As is customary, the night’s proceedings concluded with the annual fireworks display courtesy Fire One Fireworks.
