TSTT Celebrates Partnership with Government Ministries

Port of Spain, Trinidad, January 4, 2017
Permanent Secretaries are the principal accounting officers for all ministries, playing a critical role in essential services such as budgetary allocations, and are therefore, the backbone of the public sector.
TSTT, which recently rolled out its 4G LTE network, recognises the increasingly important role of these public servants and continues to rise to the challenge to meet their expanding needs. In the past, the telecommunications company has rolled out state of the art, cost effective solutions, aimed at helping government ministries efficiently communicate and share information over wide area networks. To commemorate and celebrate the strong partnership the company has developed in the process of helping to modernize the communications infrastructure across ministries, TSTT’s Enterprise, Government Sales and Services, recently hosted over 60 permanent and deputy permanent secretaries at the company’s corporate suite, Queen’s Park Oval. The company took the opportunity to say “Thank You” to those in attendance for their continued partnership and service to Trinidad and Tobago.
The attendees, represented – among other Ministries – Integrity Commission, Labour and Small Enterprise Development, Foreign and Caricom Affairs and Public Administration.
Senior Manager Government, Security and Directories Business, TSTT, Darryl Duke, said as Trinidad and Tobago’s only fully integrated communications solutions provider with a vested interest in national development, TSTT has always been country and customer focused.
“Making your work easier is our job and priority. We have now become the first and only local network to bring to you 4G LTE technology and although we have rebranded, we are the same national telecommunications company you have grown to know and love and we will continue to do our best to serve you. We remain dedicated to providing installation, repair and account management sales and
customer care services and we are always exploring ways to improve the availability and use of relevant technology to better suit your needs.”
Manager Government Sales and Services, Gervon Abraham, echoed similar sentiments, noting that TSTT also deploys voice, data, mobile and broadband services to government ministries throughout Trinidad and Tobago.
“We are committed to empowering the public sector by providing operational efficiency and real value to not only government ministries but ultimately to all the citizens of Trinidad and Tobago. I would like to stress than while some providers can only support a particular region of the island at any given time, we reach and touch over 1.3 million valued customers via landline, internet, mobile, security and a host of new and innovative enterprise services such as the newly launched 4G LTE service. We continue to lead in all areas and we take this responsibility very seriously.”
TSTT came in for high praise from Jennifer Daniel, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Foreign and Caricom Affairs, who thanked TSTT for taking the time to show its appreciation to its clients. “I support TSTT as they make our daily tasks so much easier. I think this event is a great way for them to show that they too support and value us. As Darryl said, we share a special relationship. They are not just a telecommunications company, they are part of the state sector and therefore, a part of our family.”
Isaac James, of the Ministry of Labour, believed the event was welcomed as it helped to build morale among workers from the various ministries. “I am here every year and I am never disappointed. We work in a very stressful environment and this is an opportunity to mix and mingle and have some fun with our comrades we don’t get to see very often. It also shows the genuine care that TSTT has for us and that’s always a good feeling.”
The specially invited guests were also treated to delicious food and drinks, as well as live performances from Oscar B and Los Cantantes Celestiales. A few lucky attendees also walked away with the latest smartphones, courtesy TSTT, following fun games and activities.
